Powder is harder to put in a premade pouch than most people expect. Dust, uneven flow and trapped air all show up in the fill weight, the seal and how the pack looks. Our catalog doesn't list a premade-pouch powder machine, so powder projects start from a review of your sample. We look at how your powder flows and dusts before suggesting a setup.

Define the Powder

Two powders that look alike can behave very differently on a filler. Write down these points for your product before we talk configuration.

PropertyThe question to answer
Bulk densityHow much volume does the target weight take? This sets pouch size and fill height.
FlowDoes it run freely, pack together or bridge?
DustDoes fine powder hang in the air and reach the pouch mouth?
SettlingIs it aerated when poured, then sinks after sealing and looks under-filled?
MoistureDoes it absorb water, clump or stick to contact parts?
Particle sizeHow does it flow, dust and pack?
Hazard classIs an SDS needed before a sample ships?

If your quality records have a measured bulk density or a flow description, send them. If not, send a sample from a production lot.

Choose a Dosing Configuration

The LINEVO family text for premade-pouch machines says powders use an auger, solids are usually weighed above the filling station, and liquids use a pump. That's a general statement, not a model.

An auger turns a screw through the powder, and each turn delivers a roughly fixed volume. So the result depends on how evenly the powder fills the screw. Cohesive or aerated powder fills it less evenly, and the weight drifts. Whether an auger suits your powder, and what sits around it, is something we work out from your sample.

If your product is liquid instead, see liquid pouch filling. To compare dosing methods in general, read how to choose a pouch filling machine.

Control the Fill and Seal Zone

Dust is the main risk at the seal. Powder caught between the seal faces can leave a weak or leaking seal, and powder on the pouch mouth spoils the look. Things to work through with us:

  • How far the powder falls into the pouch, and how it enters
  • Whether dust extraction is needed near the filling point
  • How the pouch is held open and kept clean during filling
  • Whether the seal area is clear of product before sealing
  • How settled or aerated powder is handled before the seal

Which of these apply goes into the quotation. Seal quality is confirmed by testing, and that matters most with powder.

Pouch Compatibility

The pouch has to hold the powder volume and seal with fine particles around. Tell us the pouch type (for example a stand-up pouch), width and length, material structure, and any zipper or tear notch. Powder can lodge in a zipper track, so a zipper needs extra care.

Send a few empty pouches with the sample. A new pouch size can need new grippers or settings, and a similar look doesn't make parts interchangeable. The pouch specifications guide covers which dimensions to measure.

Output Conditions to Define

An output or accuracy number only means something with its conditions. Don't accept one without them, and give us yours.

ConditionWhat to state
ProductThe powder, its lot and measured properties
Target weightNet weight per pouch and your tolerance
PouchType, size, material, closure
SpeedBags per minute on finished, acceptable packs
MeasurementHow weight is checked, sample size, what counts as a reject
Run lengthShort run or full shift

The catalog publishes no accuracy figure for premade-pouch machines. The filling accuracy guide shows how to set tolerance and a measurement method.

Trial Planning

A sample or data evaluation is the usual first step, agreed per project. Confirm the quantity and delivery address with us before shipping anything. Use production-lot powder and production-spec pouches, and send an SDS if the powder is hazardous.

Agree up front how fill weight, seal quality and dust will be judged, and what the test record must state. The sample testing page covers what a result does and doesn't tell you. For support after an order, see service and support.

Request a Review

Send us:

  • The powder name, form, and any bulk density or flow notes
  • Target net weight and tolerance
  • Pouch type, size and material, with samples if you can
  • The speed you need and how you'll measure it
  • Hazard information, with an SDS where it applies

Prices, lead times and test arrangements aren't published; the team agrees them with you. Send your details on WhatsApp.
