Sauce goes into a premade pouch with a pump and a nozzle, then the pouch is sealed. The sauce itself decides how hard that is. It drips or strings at the nozzle, carries pieces, leaves product in the seal zone and has to be cleaned out between recipes. This page covers what to define, what the LINEVO catalog shows and how a sample review works.

Sauce Properties

A sauce isn't one material. Ketchup, mayonnaise, chili sauce and hot pot base differ in thickness, oil and particles, and the same recipe can behave differently warm and cold. The catalog lists thick or particle-bearing sauces like these as the intended products. Ketchup is one case within the group, not a separate machine type, so we don't make formula-specific promises.

Please prepare:

PropertyWhat to tell us
ViscosityValue and measuring conditions, or a description
TemperatureAt the filling point
ParticlesType, largest size, share of the product
SeparationWhether oil or water separates in the hopper
Fill amountWeight or volume per pouch
PouchFormat, dimensions, film, any spout

For related liquids, see the liquid and paste pouch filling page.

Particle and Temperature Limits

The catalog has no particle size or temperature limit for a reviewed configuration, so we don't publish one. A number you see elsewhere belongs to that machine and that product.

Tell us the worst case. A sauce with the odd large piece needs a different nozzle and valve opening than a smooth one. A hot-filled sauce brings steam and condensation near the seal, which a cold-filled one doesn't. We decide what suits your product after a sample review.

SituationWhat to raise
Smooth, filled coldViscosity and fill amount
Sauce with piecesLargest piece size; do pieces settle or float?
Hot-filledNozzle temperature, steam near the seal, film heat tolerance
Oily or separatingHow it's stirred or held before the pump

Dosing and Nozzle Choice

The sauce listing names a servo piston pump and an anti-drip nozzle, with volumetric filling. Both still need confirming for your project. A piston pump moves a set volume per stroke, which suits thick products. Whether that volume lands on your target weight depends on sauce density and flow.

Things to discuss:

  • Pump size against fill amount per pouch
  • Nozzle opening against particle size
  • Whether the nozzle enters the pouch or fills from above
  • How the nozzle cuts off to stop drips and strings

No filling accuracy is published for this configuration. If tolerance matters, agree on the measuring method and range first. The filling accuracy guide shows how.

Configuration scope

  • Precision "High-Speed" Volumetric Filling (Review required)
  • servo-driven piston pump dosing (Review required)
  • anti-drip filling nozzle (Review required)
  • Industrial PLC & Smart Diagnostic Suite (Review required)
  • Siemens PLC and HMI interface (Review required)

No ratings are published; output, pouch size, dimensions and utilities come in a quote. "High-speed" and "high-integrity" are descriptive wording, not measurements. CIP-ready design and SUS304/316 construction are listed features to confirm, not certifications. No brand model is assigned.

Clean Seal Zone

Sauce on the inside of the pouch mouth is the usual cause of weak seals. The catalog lists high-integrity sealing but doesn't name the method, so check seal quality on a trial with your pouch and sauce.

What puts sauce in the seal zone:

  1. Drips or strings as the nozzle pulls out
  2. Splash during the fill
  3. Foam or air bubbles pushing product up
  4. A pouch mouth that is narrow next to the nozzle
  5. A dirty seal layer before sealing

If your pouch has a spout, confirm early whether it's filled through the open top or the spout, since the closing step differs. The liquid page covers both routes.

Cleaning and Changeover

The catalog lists SUS304 or SUS316 construction and Siemens PLC and HMI controls for this configuration, all to be confirmed. It doesn't describe a cleaning method, and we make no hygiene-standard or cleaning-validation claim.

If you run several sauces, tell us how often you switch and what your cleaning routine looks like. A change in pouch width can also need new grippers or settings. The pouch specifications guide covers the dimensions that affect changeover.

Trial Planning

A sauce needs a real sample review. Please don't ship anything until we confirm the quantity and address. Plan to provide:

  • Production-batch sauce, not a lab version
  • Production-specification pouches
  • A safety data sheet if relevant
  • An agreed way to measure fill amount and seal quality
  • The filling temperature

A test record lists the product, pouch, configuration, settings and what we observed. A result with one sauce doesn't carry over to another, and we make no shelf-life claims. See the sample testing page.

Project Review

Send the sauce, the pouch and the fill amount. We'll map them to the sauce configuration and list what's left to confirm. Cost comes in the quotation, and the price guide explains the factors. Choosing between machine types? The how to choose guide compares them.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is ketchup a different machine from other sauces?

No. In the catalog it sits in the sauce group. We review its viscosity, temperature and particles like any other sauce.

Can you tell me the speed for sauce pouches?

No speed or output is published for this configuration. Any figure comes in the quotation after we review your product and pouch.

Does the machine meet a hygiene standard?

We don't claim a hygiene rating or cleaning validation. If your market needs specific documents, tell us at the start.
