Support depends on the machine, the destination and the project agreement. This page shows LINEVO's published process and what to check in your quotation before you order. Response times, service coverage and costs are agreed per project.
The published process has ten steps:
| Step | What happens |
|---|---|
| 1 | Consultation |
| 2 | Application review |
| 3 | Sample testing, when needed |
| 4 | Configuration and quotation |
| 5 | Factory inspection |
| 6 | Packing and shipping |
| 7 | Installation and commissioning |
| 8 | Operator and maintenance training |
| 9 | Spare parts |
| 10 | Questions after start-up |
Pre-Sale Review
Steps one to four are where most risk is removed. We review your product, pouch and target, mark each point as listed, optional or to verify, and agree a sample test if needed. Quantity and address are settled before anything ships; see sample testing.
Check the quotation for the model and configuration version, what's included or optional, the conditions behind any performance statement, utilities, factory checks, documentation language, shipping and delivery terms, installation and training with costs, spare parts, and price, payment terms and contracting entity. The LV-210 model page shows the kind of review items a configuration carries.
Commissioning Scope
Commissioning covers site preparation, setup and test steps, and a handover record. You'll be asked to prepare the site, including utilities that match the quoted configuration.
Support may be on site or remote, depending on the project. Confirm in the quotation:
- remote or on-site support;
- the schedule;
- languages and documentation;
- any separate costs.
Training
Training is its own step, so look for it on its own line in the quotation. It can cover operators, maintenance staff and supervisors. Ask which roles are included, in what language, and whether it's on site or remote. A handover record documents what was covered.
Spare Parts
To identify a part, send the nameplate, model, serial number, configuration version and photos of the part and machine. Typical wear items are heat-seal bars, cutters, belts, suction cups and pump or piston seals.
Don't assume parts are interchangeable because they look alike. On premade-pouch machines, a new pouch size can need new grippers or settings. Ask for spare-part prices, stock and lead times in the quotation.
Troubleshooting Process
If something goes wrong after start-up, collect this before you write:
- machine model and serial number;
- the product and pouch in use, and any recent change to either;
- what the machine did, with photos or video if possible;
- the settings you were running.
Send it through the contact channels and we'll work through the cause with you. Sealing and fill problems often follow a change in film, pouch size or product behavior, which is why your pouch specification matters. The pouch specifications guide and filling accuracy guide explain what to record.
Warranty Terms
Warranty terms are stated in the quotation and contract. Ask for them in writing: what's covered, for how long, and what you must do to keep it valid.
